Find your ideal career with us! Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a meat production company in the Tampa area. We are seeking an experience Maintenance Mechanic Associate with a desire in finding long-term employment opportunities.
Maintenance Mechanic Job Duties:
•
Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
•
Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks as assigned.
•
Troubleshoot, install, repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment, to include but not limited to: hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motors, bearings, gearboxes, VFD/HMI/Servo control devices, conveying systems, valves, photo eyes, switches, steam lines and gas burners.
•
Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment
•
As applicable refer to schematics and manufacturers'' manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.
•
Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.
•
Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators if needed.
Respond to production needs as they occur on the production floor.
•
Complete accurate and timely documentation of maintenance records and works orders using our Somax Maintenance Software.
•
Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
•
Comply with federal, state and local safety regulations.
•
Follow SQF and Company GMP guidelines to produce a safe and quality product
•
Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.
•
Other duties as required by management
Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent..
• 3 year(s) prior industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing environment required.
• Ability to trouble-shoot single and 3 phase electrical equipment, hydraulic systems and pneumatic equipment.
• Strong electrical background in addition to mechanical skills. Experience with computerized or automated controls and ability to read electric schematics a plus.
• Self-motivated detail–oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated work history.
• Efficient and organized
• Consistent and Reliable Attendance.
• Able to pass a Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
• Must have a valid Driver’s license.
• Position requires the ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally unassisted. Employee must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, pull, and push regularly and have the ability to firmly grip tools and parts. Position requires the ability to climb ladders and to reach overhead when needed
Maintenance Mechanic Hours:
Business Hours 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday
