Description:
Position Summary:
The Video Production Manager will specialize in various aspects of the content field including: shooting and editing, live production, social media content and original content. The individual will help produce and, in some aspects, lead many projects. To be successful, the candidate must possess a passion for an active lifestyle and have a proven track record in establishing and achieving ambitious goals. Effectively interprets needs and develops creative/technical solutions that are on strategy. Keeps informed and up to date on best practices, trends and tools in the video space, ensuring standards remain high and techniques are cutting edge. ?Troubleshoots and performs routine maintenance on video, audio and lighting equipment. ?Offers recommendations to department leads for software and equipment purchases. Also provides support for marketing and PR photography on location at events and in studio.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and lead various production projects including live/in-studio shoots.
• Lead editor for producing training content and tips for distribution on social media, apps and web.
• Go-to shooter for content production, working closely with the entire Digital Content Team.
• Craft post-production workflows and stay up to speed on the latest techniques and technologies.
• Develop consistent graphics with digital producer to include full digital kit / lowers, intros, outros.
• Provide creative input throughout the production and post-production.
• Consult with producers and creatives on upcoming projects, giving input from both shoot and edit viewpoints.
• Archive projects and maintain the organization of the archive.
• Maintain all edit and shoot equipment, troubleshoot problems, and help expedite repairs.
• Frequent Travel, On-Location at racing events required as necessary
. Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
• BS degree in film studies, cinematography or related field
• 5+ years of related work experience with in-house agency editorial, sports production or editorial post-production.
Skills and Knowledge:
• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut).
• Knowledge and experience with Tricaster and studio setups.
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity.
• Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing.
• Creative mind and storytelling skills.
