The Team
The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance.
What you'll do
Primary relationships will be with other members of the agile development team as well as members of the multi-functional teams, including Product Design, Technical Architecture, Testing and Release Services
Work with technical architects to define and document system designs and solutions consistent with the prescribed architecture.
Collaborate with teams of software engineers on multiple and complex software development efforts, determine process improvements and suggest standard methodologies.
Close partnership with QA and other agile members and helps with the test-case preparation and automation.

Your talents needed for success
7+ years of software development experience in designing, implementing large, complex, distributed OLTP systems
5+ years of experience with Tomcat or other Application servers
Extensive knowledge developing web applications utilizing Java/J2EE, JSON, MQ, JMS, REST, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, Angular, JS, Handlebars, JSP, JSON, XML and HTML
Able to demonstrate capabilities in the following disciplines:
- Object oriented design patterns
- Front-end web UI-tier
- Container technologies
- Cloud native technologies
In-depth knowledge of relational databases including Oracle
Experience using DevOps tools including Git, Bitbucket, Cloud bees/Jenkins, Maven, Ansible
Proficiency in various phases of the system development life cycle including project planning, analysis, design, programming and unit-testing
Familiarity with different software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban)
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Experience in Financial industry a plus
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in technical/computer discipline or related experience required
6+ years' experience in application development
