Full Job Description We are seeking qualified candidates to work at an automotive frame manufacturing company located in Owensboro, KY. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for those who demonstrate high performance and excellent attendance. This position has a MIG welding emphasis, and training is provided in the form of a three-day welding class. Applicants without welding experience are welcome to apply.
Job Duties:
Operate one or many robotic welding stations on an assembly line
Quality check parts and ensure parts/items are up to standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must be able to stand on your feet for 8-10 hours a day
Must be able to constantly maneuver items/parts weighing 15-30 pounds repetitively over the course of the shift
Must be able to sometimes maneuver items weighing up to 70 pounds
Must wear steel toed footwear and other assigned PPE at all times
Must be able to work overtime as needed, including occasional Production Saturdays
Must be able to pass a MIG welding training certification course. Company will conduct training with all hired candidates prior to the certification test
Must provide proof of high school (or equivalent) graduation
Must have no felony convictions in the last three years
No history of violent crime; applicants with 4th degree assault(s) may be considered if issue is more than one year in the past
No controlled substance abuse history in the last two years
Fluency in English (Written and Oral)
Must be able to pass a drug screening
Schedule:
Monday through Friday
1st Shift: 6:30AM-3:00PM
2nd Shift: 6:00PM-2:30AM
(Up to two hours of overtime daily as needed)
Pay:
$12.00/HR for 1st Shift, $12.50/HR for 2nd Shift
$16.00 to $16.50/HR after temp-to-hire probationary period, up to $22.00-$22.50/HR top out with a 4 year grow in period
