Chase’s product team is seeking a Point of Sale Infrastructure Product Manager to deliver experiences that power client growth, create a seamless experience for our clients, and anchor Chase as the preferred payments provider to small and mid-sized businesses across North America.
In this role you will own product strategy and deliverables that culminate in a great payments experience. You will work with our small and mid sized merchants to understand their  needs, articulate the product vision, identify success metrics, & collaborate with cross functional teams to enhance existing products and to build and launch new product initiatives for the North American market.
You will leverage and deepen your expertise in multiple areas related to payments, including merchant onboarding, point-of-sale solutions, point-of-sale infrastructure, credit and debit card processing, and risk, controls, and compliance. And you will dive into various merchant verticals including retail, restaurants, ecommerce, and professional services with a focus on small business.
The ideal person for this role is a senior product manager with a technical background who possesses a blend of business analysis, strategy, and tactical execution skills, and who can take input and guidance from a broad range of stakeholders and create technical requirements and documentation for the development teams in an agile environment.
What You Will Do:
·      Provide specific requirements to support payment acceptance solutions for both card present environments.
·      Represent Chase small business clients’ needs and requirements for processing, reporting and reconciliation.
·      Have a strong understanding of card present methods of payment and Payment Brands products, services and rules/requirements across North America.
·      Work closely with our ISV partnerships to ensure that our solutions and services meet the needs and requirements of those partners.
·      Support the broader small business product transformation agenda by serving as an agile strategist who can engage in complex problem solving.
·      Partner with product and engineering teams across Chase to deliver against the roadmap.
·      Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to identify client needs.
·      Define and track metrics that inform the success of your product initiatives.
·      Define new business process or changes to existing business processes as necessary to support the integration of new products and services into our existing multi-platform business model.
·      Recommend technical and process improvements where possible to improve the overall effectiveness or marketability of a product.
What We Are Looking For:
·      Product management experience within the payments domain with a strong track record of success.
·      Keen understanding of the North American POS landscape, device management, fulfillment, and servicing.
·      Experience integrating with Chase host systems (Tandem/Stratus) or WePay APIs.
·      A collaborator with persuasive communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
·      A creative thinker with the ability to define business tradeoffs and value; generate out-of-the-box solutions, and cut through ambiguity to drive results.
·      Self-driven with a proven ability to prioritize and execute on multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced agile environment.
·      Curious and driven to learn new things, solve challenging problems, and make data-driven decisions.
·      Experience partnering with marketing to create product collateral.
·      3+ years in product development or technology role with product exposure.
·      5-7+ years experience in payments industry required; merchant acquiring preferred
·      Knowledge and understanding of credit/debit/EMV card processing, encryption, and tokenization methods.
·      Proven track record of managing a payments product end-to-end.
·      Strong ability to analyze issues & problems, recommend solutions, and communicate effectively & confidently (both verbal and written).
·      True passion for making the frictionless product and being obsessed with the client experience.
