Full Job Description E.M. Enterprises General Contractors, Inc. is a communications contractor headquartered in Tampa, FL. We offer a wide range of services and turnkey solutions in communications construction including general and electrical construction as well as design and specialty services throughout the state of Florida and the Southeastern United States.
The Company’s communications construction services include full telecommunications site construction, DAS design, and installation, pole and tower construction for various carriers as well as service and support for those carriers. The company regularly self-performs pole erections, RF installations, fence installations, concrete slab forming and pouring, electrical as well as minor site work including landscaping and demolition.
Job Duties for DAS Office Engineer:
Manage day-to-day DAS/In-Building activities in the office by supporting Project Managers, DAS Engineers, and Field Technicians.
Material Purchasing and Handling
• Create Bill of Materials by performing material and equipment take-offs
• Order necessary equipment and materials for upcoming projects
• Track material from initial purchase to receipt
• Communicate with project managers accurate lead time for materials
• Communicate with technicians and warehouse personnel regarding needed miscellaneous materials
• Handle and coordinate the return of faulty equipment by completing RMA forms, tracking and delivery
• Oversee warehouse clerk for receiving and inventory of materials
• Oversee warehouse clerk for staging and labeling of materials for upcoming projects
· Oversee warehouse clerk to ensure the support of the crews
• Create job packages for technicians
Job Logistics
• Arrange motels as needed for technicians
• Review the Per Diem and weekly time report
Tools and Maintenance
• Responsible for managing the Anritsu adapters, test cables, Torque wrenches
• Manage the calibrations for test equipment
• Keep a record of tools for service vans and trucks
• Sign out any specialty tools that are needed
• Manage weekly vehicle checks for company vehicles
Job Coordination
• Follow up the techs near end of work day
• Follow up with the techs for end of project closeout documents and pictures
• Send daily updates to internal email
• Maintain crew schedule on internal scheduling software
• Create T&M sheets if required for change orders and turn over to PM for processing
Minimum of 5 years of DAS experience required
