The HR Generalist I is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level working closely with the HR team and business leaders/managers. The HR Generalist I will support the day-to-day operations of the HR Department and work on a variety of programs/projects in the functional areas of team member benefits, recruiting, employee relations, and compliance.
Essential Job Functions
• Assist with the execution of HR processes, including performance management, team member relations, benefits, and recruiting.
• Ensures completion of new team member onboarding in HRIS and other HR systems
• Provide support and resolution on Payroll and Benefit issues, including assisting team members with benefit related questions
• Assist with gathering information including data for required government reporting and related internal/external audits
• Participates in developing department goals and objectives and suggests new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organization, and to improve the team member experience
• Responsible for generating and distributing all scheduled monthly and quarterly reports as directed
• Special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
• Proven experience working in an HR department; minimum 3 years’ progressive generalist experience
• Time management, ability to handle multiple tasks and work at a fast pace in a rapidly changing environment
• Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills including verbal and written, customer service skills a plus
• The job requires strong analytical knowledge and attention to detail. Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness, as well as the ability to monitor own work to ensure quality
• Ability to exercise considerable judgment, maintain confidentiality, and act in a diplomatic manner
• Demonstrated experience with MS Office products, with a high level of proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources/Management/Business and/or relevant work experience
