Description
Our client has an immediate opening for a Technical Lead (TL) supporting the SOCOM Global Field Service Engineer (GFSE) contract in Tampa, Florida. Our GFSE team provides training and technical support to users who are experts in all facets of the SOCOM Enterprise Analytical platform to include FADE MIST, Palantir, and IBM i2 Analyst Notebook.
The TL serves as the MCS/COP data services manager and must understand the data architecture related to the SOCOM enterprise intelligence and operations capabilities to support implementation of Mission Command System (MCS) and Common Operational Picture (COP) emerging technologies. Driving the development of software, the TL understands system architecture and its component parts. The TL is the key conduit for the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of solutions and patches, training FSEs and end users on new systems.
The TL provides expertise and technical leadership for the Field Services Engineers (FSEs) responsible for supporting SOF users of operational and intelligence platforms. These field services include engineering and technical administration as well as embedded data services and analytical support and mentorship for workflow development, data source integration, and expert utilization of multiple software capabilities to solve mission critical information challenges. The TL enables the continuous improvement of technologies through in-depth and thoroughly vetted SOF user requests and the conceptualization, design, and development of customized workflows and tools derived from intimate knowledge of user needs, mission planning and execution, and advanced analytic platforms.
The TL develops and maintains training programs for FSEs and for FSEs and SOF users of software. This includes identifying product feature requests and enhancements and the identification of new data sets for mission-critical needs, training, and exercises. Training also includes new and existing users, training classes, individual mentoring and training, deployed user training, tailored user-specific training, desk-side support, and train-the-trainer. The TL works with the contractor and government program management for subject matter expertise and training direction, as applicable, to develop and maintain instruction and training for FSEs to deliver instruction and engineering support to users of Government software systems.
Core responsibilities include:
• Daily leadership of technical tasks, providing overall on-site technical management, managing technical personnel in the execution of tasks. Managing schedules for all technical work to ensure milestones and timelines are met.
• On-site POC for government managers: daily availability to provide management updates on the status of all technical tasks, potential risks identified, personnel performance, and any other information the government requires.
• Identifying data services and developing solutions to implement data services into the MCS
• Acting as the J3/J6 technical liaison to channel MCS equities through working group participation
• Working with TSOCs and Component FSEs to identify gaps in data, system integration challenges and opportunities, and to enrich user engagement between units and the SOCOM MC development team.
• System troubleshooting, hardware and server maintenance, workflow improvement, and customer outreach.
• Developing and maintaining training programs for FSEs and users of software.
Qualifications:
• Possess and maintain a TS/SCI government security clearance
• Possess a current DoD IAT 8570, Level II or higher
• Minimum of 10 years of experience integrating multiple operational intelligence applications and data services to create real-time shared situational awareness of disparate information for decision support to commanders at strategic to tactical levels
• IT or IS infrastructure experience is preferred but not required
• Experience fusing intelligence capabilities in support of SOF operations
• Technical background with working knowledge of hardware, networks, and server administration
• Prior experience supporting Special Operation Forces (SOF) or SOCOM is preferred
