We are seeking an engaged and talented Payroll and HR Specialist to join our fast-growing team. Reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for leading all Accounting and Payroll functions for the company as well as various other ad hoc responsibilities.
Payroll Job responsibilities:
Process payroll account transactions (e.g. salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third party payments) for all employees every week
Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems for technicians
Process payroll changes (e.g., onboarding, terminations, new address, etc.)
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
Facilitate bi weekly technician productivity reporting and weekly Over Time reporting
Process employee expense reports bi weekly
Human Resources Responsibilities:
Oversee hiring process, which includes coordinating job posts, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and performing reference checks
Prepare or update employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating and process all personnel action forms and ensuring proper approval
Explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to employees
Ensure new hire paperwork is completed and processed
Administer company health and supplemental insurance plan and 401K plan
Act as Ombudsmen for any employment relations issues
Schedule technician training classes and related travel
Assist with AP and AR deliverables as needed
Job requirements:
Associates degree or higher
Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience required
Minimum 2 years HR experience required
Strong analytical skills
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Professional appearance and strong work ethic
