Manager I - Claims
Virginia Beach, VA or Tampa, FL - may consider other locations, **must be within 50 miles of an Anthem office to consider a remote arrangement**
Responsible for providing oversight for claims staff. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Establishes departmental policies and procedures.
• Provides quality control services by monitoring work results of direct reports.
• Performs audits to monitor efficiency and compliance with policies.
• Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Qualifications
Requires BA/BS; 1 year in a leadership role in addition to 2 yrs related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Claims background/experience strongly preferred.
• Analytical skills strongly preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills a must.
