The TRM Security Program Governance Associate is predominantly focused on the execution of the DTCC TRM Assurance program under the guidance of a manager. The Associate will support the analysis of cybersecurity lifecycle processes, identify control gaps, and provide testing of the effectiveness and sustainability of the controls in place. The successful associate will test the design and integration of cybersecurity controls and processes into the organization with meaningful conclusions.
What you’ll do
Assess existing cybersecurity processes and key controls
Identifies meaningful issues and provide assurance that the velocity and sustainability of the mitigation plans are appropriate
Manages the lifecycle and quality assurance of audit actions and documented core processes.
Create reports that provide visibility and assurance of the adherence to TRM policy, procedures, and standards
Assist with reviewing and improving applicable policies and standards and supporting operational procedures including the 3 year cyber security strategy
End to End Process Analysis and risk reduction initiatives
Become an internal subject matter expert with respect to cybersecurity and risk management
Research best practices and industry trends for the information security program with external organization, 3rd parties industry specialists, symposiums, and industry organizations and assess suitability for DTCC implementation
Develop, communicate and ensure adherence to department risk policies, procedures and best practices

Your talents needed for success
Minimum 3 years of business/security work experience with an emphasis on financial services or other highly regulated environments.
Beneficial, but not required, are security related certifications Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Risk and Information Systems Control
Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in business or a technology-related major
Previous job experience for this position can and should vary greatly to have a team with diverse perspectives and work experiences
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Excellent analytical, critical thinking,  and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent grammar and style skills; ability to adapt writing style for different audiences and media
Strong planning and project management skills;
Proven knowledge of technical infrastructure, networks, databases and systems and how they affect an organization's cybersecurity risk
Proven knowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards and best practices
Strong technology background, including concepts such as application development, change management, and enterprise infrastructure
Ability to explain and articulate technical concepts using both technical and non-technical language
Demonstrated ability to oversee and lead a team within an security and technology  risk function that serves as a decision making tool for management
Excellent presentation skills (MS PowerPoint)
Ability to manipulate data in a spreadsheet, pivot tables, etc. (MS Excel)
Ability to work collaboratively and pro-actively by building consensus and influencing decision making to foster forward progress with projects and initiatives
Excellent organizational skills, coupled with ability to be versatile and flexible
Sound business judgment and the ability to work successfully with all levels of management
Highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter, who can set priorities, take initiative and work both independently and proactively in a dynamic team environment
Ability to work under pressure, multitask and be flexible
Ability/willingness to meet aggressive deadlines and objectives
Excellent inter-personal skills with a highly developed customer service orientation, and ability to work effectively with all levels of internal staff, and external contacts
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters, or equivalent experience
