Full Job Description Opportunity for Service Writer/Manager: The Service Writer/Manager has the opportunity to service a multi-million-dollar portfolio by executing a program that exceeds customer expectations. The Service Writer/Manager will lead a dynamic Service Team to drive outstanding results, will be detail oriented in handling all repair orders and vendors, will ensure inventory levels for the sales team and will provide attentive and excellent customer service to our customers.
Service Writer/Manager Responsibilities:
• Independently make decisions related to warranty and policy budgets.
• Negotiate customer pay estimates.
• Use specific knowledge of automotive service and repair to produce work assignments in order to optimize Technician efficiency.
• Manage shop volume and workflow by preparing and processing all customer requests for service appointments by phone or in person.
• Maintain current forms associated with the appointment logs.
• Request verification of quality of service performed by follow-up phone calls to customers who visited the service department the previous day.
• Provide assistance to customers with inquiries and complaints; answer customer complaints regarding improper or unperformed services.
• Identify customer service problems and conduct research. Resolve customer problems through root cause analysis.
• Interact with other managers daily to identify any finance related service issues that are present and provide resolution.
• Perform a variety of administrative duties including: proofreading a variety of documents, maintaining files and records, inventory control, and maintaining office supplies.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Service Writer/Manager Qualifications:
• Previous customer service experience
• Honesty in all work and customer relations
• Ability to use critical thinking to make independent decisions
• Critical importance is learning and executing repair orders through our proprietary software. Computer skills are a must .
• Ability to supervise the work flow and processes
• Accuracy and thoroughness
• Team oriented
Service Writer/Manager Rewards:
• Base Salary commensurate with experience ($40,000+)
