We represent a family-owned home services business that is seeking to hire an Accounts Payable / Inventory Control Manager to join their thriving company. Accounts Payable / Inventory Control Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the management of all purchase orders, receiving, and price checking…managing inventory, and ensuring that everything is accounted for and done in a systematic way.
• Responsible for being the point of contact and issuing authority for all purchase orders (either they will initiate them or authorize PO’s created by others).
• Responsible for product descriptions and working with vendors ensuring they have all correct pricing for all inventory.
• Responsible for managing the receiver of the purchase orders and making sure that the quantities are correct. And if the PO’s are not correct, take further action.
• Responsible for making sure that the invoice matches the purchase order price and the received quantity amount/numbers.
• This Manager will also be responsible for warranties management (filing warranties, verifying with the technician of the warranty status, parts ordered under warranty).
• Ensures that parts under warranty are being organized and put away.
• Responsible for ensuring that there is always competitive pricing (working with vendors).
• Ensures that the technicians are taking the appropriate pictures and doing all the tasks that are being asked of them. Not missing any steps.
• Responsible for ensuring there is never a low supply of any materials, anticipating what materials they will need to order or reorder for inventory (don't want to have too much, but need to anticipate so there isn’t too little).
• There could be additional responsibilities that arise.
Key Accounts Payable / Inventory Control Key Required Skills:
• Must have experience within accounts payables (i.e. knowledge of purchase orders, dealing with invoices, and what the differences are), as well as...
• Must have experience within inventory control and management (i.e. abilities to organize inventory, ensure nothing is missing or taken without proper approval, order, and keep things in stock through managing the warehouse/inventory).
• Must have excellent skills and experience using a computer.
• Must be good with numbers, math, arithmetic.
• Must have experience using and navigating throughout MS Excel (does not need to be an expert).
• Warehouse management experience is helpful (not required)
• Prior experience within the home services industry a PLUS (HVAC, plumbing, installation, etc.).
• Any extra skills (forklift driver, operator, etc.), always a PLUS.
• Any experience/knowledge in warranties IS A HUGE PLUS (verify warranty, bring in part and stay on top of that procedure; parts being organized and put away pertaining to warranty and ensuring that the techs are taking the appropriate pictures and doing all the tasks; working with vendors).
