Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist the Accounting Manager with the day to day, monthly, and year-end operations of the Accounting Department.
• Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals, and logs.
• Ensure adherence to company established accounting processes and procedures.
• Support account's payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry and proper approvals.
• Review, audit, obtain approvals, validate purchase orders and process customer, supplier and vendor invoices
• Validate disbursements for proper accounting treatment, enter into appropriate system, create payment report and facilitate payment
• Prepare reconciliations of general ledger accounts, research and resolve any outstanding issues or discrepancies
• Identify, report on and assist in implementing advantageous payment methods and processes
• Validate and maintain vendor information, including analyzing payment methods
• Coordinate reconciliations of vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies; Research and answer vendor questions relating to the status of invoices
• Coordinate, process and review direct billed expenses; reconcile and resolve issues with internal/external partners
• Coordinate, process, review and validate completeness for 1099 reporting
• Audit processors work activities to verify conformance to quality assurance standards, job performance requirements, firm policies and departmental processing guidelines
• Assist with other duties as necessary
