Kforce has a client that is seeking a Corporate Accountant in Tampa, FL. Responsibilities:
• Compile and analyze consolidated financial statements for multiple entities/companies
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with company accepted policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting principles
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes - Including tax financial reports/statements
• Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures - specifically (but not limited to) Lease Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Impairment Analysis, AP cut off reporting, and Cash forecasting/Analysis
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities working directly with multiple restaurants, departments, auditors and management
• Collect and analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts for corporate entities and prepare/review bank reconciliations for master accounts
• Team player - ability to work in teams, are open and receptive to coaching and feedback and provide the same to staff
• Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, company credit card transactions and general ledger accounts
• Understand business operations and structure of organization to understand complex accountings structures for all entities.
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status (reconciliations)
• Prepare financial statements and operational reporting - Budget vs. Actual
• Support period end and year end close and audit
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance - required
• CPA/MBA preferred but not required
• Previous audit experience is strongly preferred
• Strong Excel skills
• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Attention to detail and accuracy
