TGH is the area’s only level I trauma center and one of just two ABA-verified adult & pediatric burn centers in Florida. Job Summary
Under administrative supervision, plans and administers the overall direction of the Internal Auditing Department. Determines that established policies and procedures are being followed by examining current procedures and internal controls, evaluates their efficiency and recommends procedures to enhance internal controls. Interviews, hires, schedules, assigns work, and evaluates the work performance of employees supervised. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Required Skills
• Bachelor's degree in business with a major in accounting.
• Should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in public accounting and internal auditing, with at least five years of management experience.
• Preferably experience in the healthcare industry and certification as a C.P.A. and /or C.I.A.
