Department Profile
The Human Resources Division’s key focus is People Development, through a range of Talent Management services. The team is comprised of core HR Services, Volunteer Services, Organizational Development, and Team Member Health & Wellness. This dedicated team of professionals provides support to all Team Members and Leaders ranging from recruitment and retention strategies, compensation analysis, reward and recognition programs, benefits administration, conflict resolution and coaching, career development and mapping, in-person and online training certification programs, and a robust new hire orientation and training program. Adult, Teen and therapy animal volunteers support TGH’s mission and the Team Member Health Clinic offers same day appointments for common illness, workplace accommodations and proper body mechanics to prevent injuries. The Team Member Health & Wellness team offers dozens of instructor-led fitness programs, nutrition coaching, and year-round incentives for practicing healthy habits.
Job Summary
Under general direction of the Manager of Organizational Development, the Sr. OD & Training Consultant develops, implements, and monitors compliance with the organizations Professional & Leadership Development programs.  These include a foundation program and general coursework for existing leaders, a New Leader On-boarding program, and development of individual learning programs based on needs assessments.  Provides support for management evaluation processes including 360-degree evaluations. Contributes to and updates the TGH Leadership Development SharePoint site. Manages selection process for professional development eLearning posted to internal LMS. Follows established policies, procedures, professional guidelines, adult learning principles, and evidence-based practice to align education goals with business needs and identified strategies of Tampa General Hospital.  Designs learning programs, delivers training, and facilitates organizational change.  Participates in management of the learning function, coaching, career mapping/planning, talent management, and managing organizational knowledge.
• Master’s Degree in Organizational Development/Psychology/Behavior, Instructional Design, Management, or similar field.
• 5-7 years professional experience working with all levels of leadership and facilitating corporate professional and leadership development programs.
• Coaching certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Coaching/Consulting experience in an organizational setting, exceptional facilitation skills, knowledge of and experience with needs assessments and evaluations, talent and performance management, and assessment instruments.
• Business and leadership experience in various professional contexts; high degree of professionalism.
• Able to effectively interface with team members at various levels within the organization.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and level of professionalism, experience with instructional design in an organizational context.
• Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) and vendor certifications preferred by not limited to DiSC/StrengthsFinder certification preferred. Proficient in facilitating in a virtual environment; Microsoft Teams preferred.
