The Medicare Sales Training Manager maximizes sales department effectiveness by developing training programs which will improve the product knowledge and sales skills of Medicare Sales Agents.  The individual is a multi-skilled training expert who leads product launches, training of large groups of new agents and devising improved training techniques.  They are expected to maintain expert status in the Medicare line of business.  Those in the role will participate in content development, training new and experienced staff regarding Medicare products and processes.  Will need to collaborate with internal subject matter experts to gather information for training content creation and maintenance and oversee the content creation by the training department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Acts as subject matter expert in the Medicare lines of business
• Oversee training instructional curriculum design and training delivery
• Manage multiple training staff, and their training schedules.
• Develop Training project plans in accordance with Operations needs
• Assess training needs and develop programs focused on product knowledge and effective sales techniques
• Provides research and assists Training Design Staff in development of training materials and products as requested
• Build product, compliance, sales, customer service, telephony system and customer relationship management software (CRM) training curriculum (agendas, outlines, presentations, modules & materials)
• Calibrates with Operations and Quality Assurance departments to optimize new hire and refresher training opportunities.
• Facilitates Training as Required and stay current with industry and educational trends
• Maintains required Training Analytics (Assessment Scores, Trainer Performance and other Training documentation)
• Implement Training Governance program across the enterprise.
• Develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, intranet sites, and reference works
• Must work from assigned location.  Must be flexible to travel as necessary and is able to work a flexible schedule
• Effectively manager training team performance and establish continuous improvement training programs
• Develop training key performance indicator metrics and hold department accountable to meet expectations
Education and Work Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years' of Medicare experience required.
• 2+ years experience managing training staff.
• 3+ years of training and auditing experience, preferably in a managed care or healthcare environment.
• Extensive knowledge of health insurance and/or health benefits highly preferred.
• Experience in instructional design, curriculum development and/or learning & development.
• State, carrier, and AHIP Licensed
• Demonstrable proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Attendance Requirements:
Due to the nature of Benefytt Technologies, Inc. needs, regular and reliable attendance is required. Individuals must be able to work at least a 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday, and be available as situations arise requiring extended hours.
