We heard you knock! Masonite is seeking a Scrum Master within the Data and Analytics Organization. This position will be responsible for managing the portfolio of projects within the data and analytics team.  They will be responsible for working with the Director, Enterprise Data Management & Analytics to capture, allocate, and complete work across the portfolio – ensuring the work is completed on-time & on-budget, escalating issues/risks when they surface.  In addition, this position will be asked to help with various data and analytics tasks within the team’s scope of work as needed.
• This role will support the Director, Enterprise Data Management & Analytics, to manage work across the portfolio of projects within the data and analytics team
• Track concurrent activities across different projects within the portfolio
• Be the point of contact on data and analytics development projects, providing project updates, milestones, and budget documentation.
• Facilitate the work getting done through daily standups, sprint planning, retros, and backlog management across the portfolio
• Interface with business stakeholders to collect business and technical requirements, translating requirements into user stories and/or business/data requirements documents
• Break-out collected requirements into tasks which are granular enough to be achieved in a single sprint
Lead testing sessions, capturing bugs, new scope, etc,, adding to the backlog and prioritizing based on business value
• Resolves requirement & priority conflicts.
• Be the authority to accept or reject work as “done”
• Create, maintain, and prioritize the Backlog based on business priorities (working with the business to prioritize as needed)
• Define successful outcomes and approves Success Criteria at the story, bug, & task level
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, and work with the team in implementing changes to process and technology (ensuring all processes are documented in SOPs/BPPs)
• Collaborate with the team, contributing, when possible, to other data and analytics teamwork such as unit testing, process documentation, etc.
Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• 5+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager
• At least 3 years of experience as Scrum Master for the Agile/Scrum teams within IT
• At least 2 years of experience of working with multiple functional domain teams including Developers, QA & Business Analysts
• Impeccable communication skills - both written and verbal
• Thorough documentation skills
• Ability to coordinate meetings and discussions with remote teams spread across multiple locations
• Strong interpersonal skills: especially the ability to deal gracefully yet effectively with demanding stakeholders
• Adaptable with willingness to do whatever is required to see a task or goal to completion
• Experience in large corporations, dealing with matrixed organizations
• High level of motivation, and the ability to work with minimal direction and support
• Rigorous attention to detail
• Likable personality
• Ability to persuade and manage customer expectations
• Good level of technical background to drive the deliverables assigned to the team members
• Good experience of status reporting, client interfacing & risk management
• Should possess good analytical and communication skills
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
• Preferred Skills:
• Experience using tools such as JIRA or Azure Dev Ops preferred
• Experience with data and analytics technologies
• Agile Hybrid development
• Scrum Master Certified (Preferred)
• PMP Certified (Preferred)
• Six Sigma Certified (Nice to Have)
