The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
• Extensive knowledge in complete project life cycle including analysis, design, implementation, integration and testing.
• Proficient is using ETL methodology for performing Extraction, Transformation, and Loading using Talend DI.
• Designed data conversions from wide variety of source systems including Netezza, Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, non-relational sources like flat files.
• Experience in technical designing, analyzing data and business requirements, providing best solutions to team and business, implementing ETL best practices and delivering projects successfully.
• Extensive experience with AML functionalities, compliance rule executions and regulatory functions.
• Experience working on Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Sqoop for Data and Process migration.
• Experience in Data Centric Testing and Business Value Assurance.
• Hands-on experience with various tools such as Talend DI, OWB, SSIS for ETL development; Teradata and Quality Center for ETL Testing, SQL, Core Java, Unix Shell Scripting. Trained on Hadoop, Snowflake, Tableau, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Exposure to software management and continuous integration tools such as GitHub, SVN, and Jira.
• Effective communication skills and experience in customer interaction and requirements gathering.
• Extensive experience in working with delivery teams spread across many countries and time zones.
• Expertise in working in fast-paced, multi-vendor, high-tech environments requiring skills in scheduling, management and team building.
• Ability to work well in both a team environment and individual environment.
• Key contributions in planning, risk and change management. Flexible and versatile to best practices in the data processing.
• Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement
• Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality
• Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience working in Data Warehousing and Data Management projects, with relevant exposure to the Banking, Media and Entertainment, and Retail domains.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Education:
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience
