Position Summary:
The Department of Religious Studies is looking for an Office Manager to support 8 faculty members and 20 graduate assistants in performing their duties.  The Department operates successful degree programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels and provides undergraduate students in majors from across the University with grounding in the skills and sources of our field.
The selected incumbent will be a self-starter with a professional attitude, positive demeanor, and high work ethic. Excellent organization, time management, oral, and written communication skills are essential components of this job.  The individual must think independently and have the ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The selected incumbent will work as part of a collaborative team of faculty, staff and students, working closely with other managers and departments across the USF campus.
Responsibilities:
The duties listed below are representative of the position but may include other responsibilities as assigned.
•Prepare the class schedule for Fall, Spring, and Summer terms.
•Manage the department's payroll, including job postings and appointment papers for faculty, staff, students, and visitors.
•Manage multiple funding sources including E&G, Research Foundation funds, sponsored funds, and research initiative funds.
•Coordinate onboarding and tenure campaign procedures with academic offices as needed for support of tenure-track faculty.
•Act as liaison with the College's Business office and other collaborative units in support of travel, purchasing, contracts, import/export compliance, outreach activities and other activities pursued by faculty or staff in the unit.
•Coordinate pre- and post-award research support with unit research administrators or other collaborators, as necessary.
•Assist chair, staff, and collaborators to maintain a sustainable administrative management environment, including coordination of space, supervision of FWS students, and day to day management of the office.
•Other duties as required to support the mission of the unit and the College.
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with six years of experience in office or administrative positions. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Work experience in a higher education environment. Knowledge of various enterprise-wide business systems such as PeopleSoft. Knowledge of USF policies and procedures. Proficiency in MS Office, and Outlook.
