RESEARCH SYSTEMS ANALYST II Business & Information Technology Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Day Shift - Full Time Paygrade/Wages/Salary Info: EX E34 - 35.2500 - 44.3000
Research Systems Analyst II Position Highlights: #The Research Systems Analyst II (#RSA-II#) assists in design, analysis, implementation and supports all research information systems and related applications. #The scope of this position involves analyzing existing systems, applications and processes and then formulating logic for new systems for the benefit of the Moffitt Research Institute. #The RSA-II is also responsible for providing first and second level support for new and existing systems used by the Moffitt research staff including assisting with configuration and support of the Lab Vantage system including LIMS and BioBanking modules. #The RSA-II utilizes best practices throughout the project lifecycle to deliver systems / applications that meet business and technical requirements. #The Analyst is expected to provide expert knowledge of project management methodologies and documentation including; project request forms, project plans; status reporting; process flow diagrams, functional requirements, SOW#s, GAP analysis, QA Test plans and others as needed. The Ideal Candidate: #Experience in Agile methodologies in SDLC /application development and support #Demonstrated understanding of information security practices and HIPAA compliance #Performance improvement / process management knowledge and experience #Prior healthcare experience #Familiarity with Clinical Trials Management software and concepts #Familiarity with Cancer Registry Software and concepts #Experience with SQL, stored procedures and database triggers on a variety of platforms # Responsibilities: #Leads teams of business and IT personnel in the design, development, testing and delivery of custom or vendor supplied systems/software utilizing the SDLC #Develop business and functional requirements documents.##Ensure audit/accuracy of documents within application development tracking system. #Performs software installations, configurations, and customizations in development/support of custom Lab Vantage LIMS/Biobank software #Maintains production systems to ensure continuous, reliable performance #Documents systems policies, procedures, and training materials #Perform/maintain system assessments, change management procedures, security measures and issue resolution and root cause analysis Qualifications: #Bachelor#s degree in Computer Science, business or related health care field **High School diploma/GED and an additional six (6) years verifiable, relevant experience in Information Technology, application development and/or project management within the healthcare industry may be considered in lieu of a bachelor#s degree #Two (2) years systems development, implementation and support #Strong analytical and problem solving skills #Experience with Lab Vantage LIMS/Biobank configuration and support #Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications #Proven ability to learn new skills and technology #Ability to work closely in a team environment #Strong written and oral communication and strong presentation skills #Demonstrated conflict management, organization and time management skills #Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications:##Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and website navigation
