POSITION SUMMARY
Radiology Partners is seeking a Supervisor of Revenue Cycle to supervise and support the management of the billing team for Radiology Partners practices, and be responsible for all aspects of radiology billing, billing system configuration, charge capture, claim submission, insurance and patient accounts, collections and payment posting for our Radiology practices. This includes collections performance, billing team oversight, expense management, and vendor relations. This position has supervisory responsibility and/or input for recruitment, hiring, retention, performance development, performance management, teammate relations, salary adjustments, and termination of direct reports.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and manage Radiology revenue cycle team
Manage the entire revenue cycle process including accounts receivables, denials management, insurance follow up, payment posting, customer service and ad hoc reporting
Maximize revenue through strong payor contracts and strong collection processes
Maximize and monitor cash flow with strong DSO
Review daily, weekly and monthly key metrics to identify trends or areas of focus; work with Billing Office Manager to develop, document and implement action plans, as appropriate, to address issues and ensure claims are submitted and paid in a timely manner
Solve difficult payment and associated business office problems including claims processing and billing issues across the revenue cycle as well as escalated patient complaints and audit problem accounts
Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with state and federal laws, regulations for Medicare, Medicaid, managed care and other third party payers
Maintain knowledge of HIPAA and other requirements
Maintain timely knowledge of mandatory billing and coding requirements, to include knowledge of ICD-10
Participate in the design, implementation, and management of process improvements to improve revenue cycle performance
Cultivate and manage strong relationships with good patient, employee, vendor, and client relationships
Establish and communicate impactful team goals; build and enact plans to achieve success
Supervise, train, mentor, motivate, orientate and evaluate performance of teammates. Recommend merit increases, promotions and disciplinary actions with appropriate approvals as required
Create, maintain, update, and provide training on policies and procedures
Serve as department subject matter expert for all teams providing the appropriate tools, supplies, job aides and system access needed to meet production standards
Maintain confidentiality of all patient, teammate and company information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and Radiology Partners policies
Perform duties of Manager as requested or in Manager's absence
Occasional travel to meet with billing clients and review account performance and resolve outstanding issues
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
A.A. in Business Administration preferred or related field and 3 or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
1-2 years of leading/coaching experience in revenue cycle in a fast paced, high volume, managed care environment
Demonstrated knowledge of Healthcare reimbursement/collections, medical billing, CPT/ICD9/ICD10 coding, financial reporting and management, with a strong knowledge of the collections process
Experience enrolling providers and entities with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payors
Radiology Revenue Cycle and Billing experience is preferred
Excellent inter-personal, verbal, and written communication skills.  Demonstrated competency in working in teams and ability to effectively communicate with all levels
Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint required; intermediate skills in MS Word and Outlook required
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead process improvement projects
Excellent relationship building skills and aptitude for working collaboratively with cross-functional groups
Self-starter with high degree of drive, initiative, and follow through
Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
Teammate development and performance management skills
Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information
Ability to develop, plan, and implement short-and long-range goals
