The position is within the Citi Private Bank, North America’s Business Risk and Control team, which is part of the broader North America Chief Operating Officer (COO) organization.  Strategic Initiatives are key business imperatives at Citi Private Bank. This position is responsible for understanding regulatory, policy requirements and business functions to effectively design and advance Citi Private Bank’s strategic initiatives that support the organization’s ability to grow through client acquisition and deepening relationships, while effectively managing risk as an outcome of streamlined solid business and functional processes.  This role also serves as a key liaison to various senior Citi Private Bank business leaders, 2nd and 3rd line of defense, and regional contacts, applying in-depth knowledge of Citi Private Bank’s products, services within and across the broader regulatory frameworks.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for managing and supporting multiple risk and control programs for the organization including defining the strategy, approach, processes, quality, tools and reporting that provide global risk management consistency and excellence.
• Maintain and establish relationships with Product Business Risk teams, Global Business Risk, Service teams, Banking teams, and senior management.
• Own the execution and facilitation of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA) process for CPB NAM Data Governance, Privacy and Records Management, COB, and Training.
• Drive risk discussions, provide input, and ensure decisions are made regarding risk acceptance and mitigation
• Conduct risk assessments, test control design and operating effectiveness
• Develop and maintain relationships across the business users and Lines of Defense to better understand and deliver customer requirements by responding to changes in the internal and external business environment
• Keep Management aware of the risk and control environment through continuous and open communication, and follow-up on issues, concerns and corrective action plans
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Lead Continuity of Business (COB) program for NAM CPB, including Business Recovery Plans (BRPs), testing, annual reviews, coordination with various business and control teams across multiple locations.
• Provide and support oversight of the CBCM Policy and Standard deliverables ensuring quality, efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate a wide range of CBCM administration activities to implement a CoB Program that include:
• Assessment, Planning, Testing, Maintenance, Quality Review, Crisis Management, Training, Awareness, Communications, Monitoring and Reporting.
• Partner with the CBCM leadership and central teams to maintain a calendar of activities to ensure a timely completion of all policy requirements.
• Interact with business and technology management to understand future business strategy and CBCM needs, ensuring relevant documentation accounts for changes that occur.
• Lead training coordination oversight, reporting and escalation of past due reporting covering all CPB North America staff; this includes oversight of compliance assigned training as well as coordination of business led training and management through LMS.
• Review new initiatives, identifying privacy impacts, supporting the initiative owner in conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) including Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and recommending controls to mitigate privacy risk.
• Coordinate submissions to the Data Processing Inventory (DPI), including reviewing line items and performing qualitative and quantitative check and challenges.
• Providing support to operationalize and embed new privacy requirements (e.g. regulatory changes) including through development of or changes to raining, standards, policies and procedures Advising on and responding to Individual Rights requests (e.g. Data Subject Access Requests)
• Coordinate adherence to the Records Management Policy for CPB NAM
• Update Records Management Governance Tool and work with Business Unit Heads to ensure RMGT requirements are met
• Work with ICG Records Management Program Lead to ensure CPB NAM
meets all Records deadlines
• Work with Business Unit Heads and Product partners to update Record Inventories, Dispose of Records based on retention requirements
• Lead the effort to track and document Legal Holds for CPB NAM
Qualifications:
• 6-10 years relevant work experience in Business Risk & Controls
• MS Excel, MS Access, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic a plus. 5+ years’ experience in financial services.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Effective organizational influencing skills required.
• Third party vendor management preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead global team efforts
• Excellent problem solving skills Ability to see the big pictures with high attention to critical details
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives.
Education:
• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
