Responsibilities include:
• DBA with Distributed Cluster experience (Multi cluster set up etc.)
• Operational responsibilities: checks on maintenance jobs, correct/fix issues when they arise, answers and support all developers and QA requests, working knowledge of partitioning for purging/archiving, monitoring, debugging issues regarding performance, take quick action to correct any Production issues.
• Release responsibilities: Translate oracle schema to SQL server, review/deploy Store Procedures, and create scripts to manage data for release, release schema in coordination with Oracle DBA and Golden Gate replication.
• On-call duties
• Administrative Duties: Fill out change requests, represent them at CAB meetings and implement work orders (that consumes a lot of time and off hours to implement them).
• Comply to request for on-going auditing, produce reports. etc
• Experience with managing SQL server and implementing Always On in the Oracle Cloud
• SQL DBA Working knowledge and experience with SQL Server Enterprise clustering
• Working knowledge of Oracle schema in order to translate to SQL server
• Experience with SQL store procedures
• Experience with creating scripts
• Experience with implementing and administering Always ON in a distributed cluster environment
• Experience with Reporting Servers (installing/configuring and Join Scalability configuration)
