Full Job Description We are looking for a responsible and hard-working Part-Time Receptionist/Office Assistant for our * NEW Owensboro, Kentucky office; who is hungry * for a challenge. Our ideal applicant would have previous experience providing excellent customer service to customers - preferably someone whose experience includes scheduling and maintaining multiple schedules/routes.
What you will be doing:
If you like talking with people and you enjoy helping to solve problems , you'll fit right in working in this industry! Our Office Assistants are the first line of communication for our current and potential clients when they call into our office. Along with scheduling pest control appointments for our current clients, and inspections for potential clients; our Office Assistants do a variety of other very important tasks.
What else will you being doing:
· Initially, you’ll be shown the ropes by shadowing with other Office Assistants, learning the systems we use and the routes/territories of our technicians!
· You’ll be answering incoming calls from our customers, scheduling their pest control services – zeroing in on clients’ needs and providing superb customer service.
· You’ll be working in the system during each and every call, making sure to take detailed notes and updating client accounts accordingly.
· You’ll practice a keen attention to detail, especially when working in or creating client accounts and scheduling services, as well as maintaining a neat and organized work area.
· As part of the office team, you’ll be cross-trained on a number of tasks including but not limited to: preparing technician’s paperwork for the following day, maintaining certain excel spreadsheets, managing online sales contracts and servicing previous day stops.
· Attending weekly office meetings and contributing to the growth of our department and continued success.
· Keeping the entire office tidy and clean.
· Tracking supply and chemical inventory.
· Making outgoing calls to potential commercial clients to schedule inspections.
Be Assured: There are plenty of pests to go around, so you won't ever be bored! Each season brings new pests to manage and the calls will keep coming in!
What we are really hoping to find:
We’re kind of “geeks” about insects, and we love to see this type of interest in the people who work for us! To be able to do this job well, you have to be somewhat open to learning a little bit of general information about different kinds of pests. Don’t worry if you know nothing much about bugs - you will pick up this information rather easily over time.
But technical expertise is not the only thing. We are wanting to find:
· Someone who is professional and courteous with customers – “Customers may forget what you did for them, but they never forget how you treated them.”
· Someone who takes their job seriously (i.e., shows up ahead of time, comes prepared to work, and demonstrates by their own example what a good work ethic is supposed to look like).
· Someone who is self-disciplined and self-directed to be able to stay on-task, manage multiple tasks seamlessly, and works well without direct supervision.
· With all of that in mind, we need people like you who are conscientious, hard-working, dependable, resilient, tenacious and genuinely fun to work with !
Before we forget, there are a few requirements for the job that must be met:
· You must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and maintain drug-free status to work for our team.
· You must have a clean background report.
· You must have flexibility for attending meetings before or after hours, as well as working 8am – 12pm, rotating Saturdays during our busiest months.
