Position Overview
Develops and delivers formal live learning sessions to meet organizational requirements and audience needs. Displays strong presentation techniques and public speaking skills while utilizing appropriate design principles, adult learning methods and technologies. Evaluates effectiveness of live training on a scheduled basis with audiences, management and senior leadership. Maintains and monitors training programs, procedural and policy documentation. Administers and maintains department systems and databases. Manages organizational development initiatives which include: team dynamics, onboarding programming, course facilitation, employee coaching, workforce and succession planning.
Duties and Responsibilities
Hosts professional and engaging learning sessions to various audiences, including lectures, interactive activities, side-by-side training, live simulations, role-playing activities, shadowing and so on.
Hosts ad-hoc training sessions for internal business units based on environmental needs or organizational priorities
Evaluates facilitation skills on a scheduled basis using session surveys, knowledge checks, coaching, feedback and self-assessments. Assesses overall effectiveness of teaching techniques employed for the learning topics, receives and seeks feedback on performance and adjusts presentation skills as needed.
Administers and maintains department systems and databases for assigned curriculum. Captures and reports relative training data for the department using the assigned tracking systems.
Plans, prepares and presents learning sessions in accordance with department standards for proper maintenance, functionality, usability, and quality of all learning presentations. Reviews and studies policies, procedures, technologies and resources including training documentation, Web sites, and multimedia programs.
Evaluates training sessions hosted on a scheduled basis. Assesses overall effectiveness of learning sessions conducted and updates or adjusts course materials and delivery methods as needed.
Hosts live training programs that successfully meet client requirements and audience needs by using appropriate design principles, techniques and technologies. Assesses current levels of organizational performance and leverages proprietary departmental software to enhance desired outcomes.
Maintains knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting area of expertise. Attends educational events that will increase professional knowledge and be otherwise beneficial to the Credit Union. Completes annual BSA/AML Compliance Training and understands employee’s role in maintaining an effective BSA/AML compliance program, and completes FACT Act Red Flag training.
Minimum Education, Experience and Skill Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, or a related field. (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements.)
Previous experience developing, delivering, and facilitating training materials and programs desired.
Experience with various educational platforms and tools, including distance learning training tools, learning management platforms (CMS, LMS), computer based authoring tools, and other technologies that are required for department objectives.
Practical knowledge designing websites, Web-based training programs, and online programs.
Previous experience in project management of training programs.
Able to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities, and meet deadlines. Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized. Able to analyze and resolve difficult problems and situations.
Good knowledge and understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures pertinent to the job.
Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance necessary to successfully perform job responsibilities.
Good knowledge and understanding of all Credit Union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties.
Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally and effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators. Able to influence others through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
Works independently with general supervision.
