ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY :
USF Innovative Education is an academic support unit that partners with USF's colleges to develop, market and recruit students into the university's most innovative programs. Services include online faculty development, online course design and development, program development, marketing, recruitment, admissions support and related services.
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Account Manager is a professional services role which requires analytical and time management skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain client relationships. The primary function of the role is to support the Assistant Director of Business Strategy to help manage client relationships such as admissions, faculty support, and other clients a needed, as well as monitor campaigns at various stages of development, with the goal of delivering every project on time and within scope.
The position is responsible for acting as a client liaison and to help improve and optimize campaign performance by collaborating with the analysis, recruitment and production team in executing, launching and monitoring the performance of recruitment campaigns and other projects; and assessing, documenting and delivering final results. The position requires considerable collaboration with InEd members, college partners and leadership. The position will report directly to the Assistant Director of Business Strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Serves as liaison between the team and various clients, including the USF Center for Innovative Teaching & Learning (CITL) and USF Corporate Training & Professional Education (CTPE). Includes developing a deep understanding of client needs, requirements and goals; facilitating meetings; proactively communicating project progress and campaign performance; securing client feedback and approval; and disseminating reports.
Manages communication and marketing campaigns for various clients, including the USF Center for Innovative Teaching & Learning (CITL) and USF Corporate Training & Professional Education (CTPE). Includes facilitating campaign intake meetings; developing and documenting marketing plans; collaborating with the data analysis, production and recruitment teams to produce campaigns; managing content on digital platforms, such as landing pages, websites, etc.; updating content and workflows in email campaigns; reviewing campaign health reports; and making recommendations to optimize campaign performance.
Manages projects at various stages of development. Includes facilitating project intake meetings; gathering project requirements; documenting project plans; collaborating with the data analysis, production and recruitment teams to produce projects; and ensuring that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
MINIMUM :
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, public relations, technical writing, digital media, or related field, with two years of experience in related positions; or a Master's degree in the fields listed above. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
PREFERRED :
The preferred candidate will possess three to five years experience in the following areas: extensive experience in modern marketing campaign development, implementation, optimization and reporting, in support of student recruitment, in a higher education setting; a proven track record in producing marketing campaigns designed to achieve specific, measurable, financial goals, in support of student recruitment, in a higher education setting.
SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING:
Must possess excellent project management and time management skills, and the ability to manage numerous projects at one time
Significant experience in juggling multiple clients and managing an array of competing projects and campaigns on tight timelines.
Must have excellent judgment and decision making skills
Must have the ability to resolve conflict, build consensus and facilitate decision-making
Strong oral and written communication skills to facilitate external communication with internal and external clients
Strong proficiency in the use of Outlook, Excel and Word
Must be highly conscientious, organized and detail-oriented.
Must possess a helpful, friendly, collaborative personality.
Must be comfortable working in a high-pressure, goal-focused environment.
Must possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, nimble, entrepreneurial environment and be able to work with many cross-functional partners.
