Obtains garments produced by Direct Embroidery Operators (Groups). Transports and positions hampers or other material handling equipment, at the strapping station. Uses a personal computer and various other electronic devices to scan out bundles. Grasps and straps bundles, then places the bundles in totes, onto outbound conveyor. Bulk Processing Cases are sealed, placed onto carts or on case elevator.
Direct Embroidery Strapping will require participation and compliance to all policies and procedures related to ISO (Quality) and safety.

Obtains work from groups by pushing carts or hampers to staging area.
• While standing, uses scanning devises or other electronic devices to process bundles. Compares Garment Pick Worksheet (GPW) or Bulk Pick Worksheet (BPW), with embroidered (processed) items (goods in bundles/cases), by performing simple check; assuring paperwork matches designated garments and/or case specifications.
• Processes outgoing work, by lifting bundles from hampers or carts, into totes or cases. Straps and/or scans bundles or attaches BPW paperwork to case. Completed totes are placed on outbound conveyor. Cases are placed on outbound elevator.
• Responsible for obtaining, understanding, and applying ISO quality assurance standards to production jobs.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment, assuring all strapping material and any other items that may pose a safety hazard are removed.
• Daily responsibilities include:
• Keeping workstation clean.
• Maintaining productivity level as instructed.
• Accurate record keeping (scanning work & clocking in/out).
• Report malfunctions to Lead, Production Supervisor, or Staff Mechanic.
• Performing all functions in a safe manner, in accordance with departmental, facility, and safety
requirements.
• Job may include cross-training in other Personalization production areas including the Distribution Center. May be required to perform functions in other production areas on a temporary basis as required.
Qualifications
Language Skills
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand English, and comprehend general business correspondence. Interpret internal production documentation, equipment manuals, technical bulletins, container labels, MDS, and other written internal documentation. Ability to communicate and respond to questions from management, and other staff members.
Mathematical Skills
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning and Problem Solving Ability
• Ability to determine the cause of problems and determine solutions. Capable of retaining techniques/skills taught and applying those skills to the job, to assure consistency, quality and limited delays in servicing customers and staff.
Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend at the waist and lift. Use hands to finger; handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
