Boutique Florida law firm seeks an experienced Florida paralegal to join its growing team. We prefer a paralegal in the Northwest Florida or Tampa Bay area, but will consider all qualified candidates. The position will initially be on a part-time, contractual basis (1099), and flexibility to work in a remote or home office. Competitive hourly pay (no benefits currently offered), and opportunity to expand to a full-time position.
Requirements
· Minimum 2 + years of experience as a paralegal.
· At least one of the following: 1) Designation as a Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP); 2) Certification as a NALA Certified Paralegal (CP); or, 3) Degree in Paralegal Studies from a U.S. accredited school.
· Experienced with E-Filing, time entry, billing, calendaring and all other essential paralegal skills.
· General understanding of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.
· Understanding of pleadings and other legal documents including claims, summons and complaints, interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, notice to produce, notice of taking deposition, motions, notices of hearing, subpoenas, affidavits, orders and final judgments.
· Strong attention to case details and ability to proofread all documents and correspondence for accuracy. Preferred experience with litigation and trials.
· Technologically savvy within all Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF and experience with document management systems preferred.
