Job Description
Job Title: It Support Specialist
Reports to: Director of Information Technology
Position Level :  6
Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide remote help desk support and assist staff in troubleshooting their computer hardware and/or software. If issue requires higher level of support gather and provide the necessary information to escalate support to System Support staff to efficiently diagnose and resolve the issue within the scope of FMC IT Standards.
• Provide End User Setup and support on the installation of new hardware and software systems within all FMC facilities. Maintain documentation on equipment adds/moves/disposal of IT related equipment.
• Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
• Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software and configuring systems and applications.
• Provide on-site training on hardware and software systems as defined by IT standard operating procedures.
• Able to travel to any FMC location.

Education
• A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field is a plus
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in technical support with strong technical troubleshooting and problem diagnosis skills
Technology Experience
• In depth knowledge of Desktop Operating System deployment, configuration, and administration. Windows 7/8 Professional.
• Windows Server 2008/2012 technologies (Exchange, Terminal Server, Active Directory, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007/2010/2013 applications and configuration
• Working experience with network configuration and troubleshooting including but not limited to DHCP, LAN, WAN, DNS, VPN and IP routing
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting of PC Desktops, Thin Clients, laptops, printers, copiers, iPads, iPhones and Android Mobile devices in an enterprise environment
• Industry Certifications a plus, such as ITIL, Network+, A+, Security+, Microsoft Technology Associate (MTP), Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST)
