Position Title: Race & Specialty Fuels Division General Manager Reports to: Vice President of Race & Specialty Fuels Division
Position Purpose: This position will be responsible for creating a positive environment while managing growth of both the sales and operations sector of the Division with input on marketing initiatives. Objectives will be to impact the division positively, efficiently, effectively and safely with a high emphasis on motivating your direct reports and division team members. This position requires a person that is highly motivated and gifted for vision and the execution of the vision. A minimum expectation will be to improve sales and operational efficiencies so that we are hitting our goals of serving our partners and racers 100% on time, 100% accurately with 100% customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions: SALES AND OPERATIONS DIVISION
1 Create, analyze, manage and execute Race Division plans by creating quantitative checklists for sales, operational and customer service efficiencies by leading and coaching the sales and marketing director and the operations director.
2 Oversee and work with the Operations Team to source, negotiate, order and manage inventory of components and supplies to lower COGS for the Race Division.
3 Work with Operations and Sales directors to source, negotiate, order and manage equipment for the Division and approve equipment purchases for customers on behalf of the sales team.
4 Responsible for working with, negotiating and growing current and future vendor relationships.
5 Lead planning with both the Sales and Operations Director, sales team and senior management on current and future operational race division projects and or expansions.
6 Travel on behalf of the Race Division to partners, clients, trade shows, track side events, training and other events as needed to grow and support the business. Travel between facilities as needed to provide support with planning and back up execution of your direct reports.
7 Responsible for forecasting, planning and the budgeting of both sales and operations processes and inventories for yearly, quarterly and monthly planning by working with the direct reports of the sales and operations director.
8 Must possess the ability to create, design, present and execute plans to completion.
9 Responsible for hiring, mentoring, holding accountable all related race team members in collaboration with the sales and operations director.
10 Establish new business, maintain and grow existing sales and increase our market share by working closely with our sales director and partners' key personnel.
11 Monitor the Salesforce program and ensure that our sales director and sales team are using the Salesforce tool consistently and accurately by monitoring daily customer and prospect touches.
12 Foster strong relationships with our partners, clients and key end users while knowing all phases of the sales process.
13 Display a continued effort to grow a strong knowledge base of the racing industry and the race fuel industry.
14 Work with the Sales and Operations Director to create monthly sales forecast reports and plans.
15 Lead the sales director to create sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas based on individual pipelines for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products. Implement national sales programs by developing field sales action plans in collaboration with the sales director.
16 Provide sales forecast to the Operations Team so proper inventory levels can be built.
17 Keep current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors in order to maintain and grows sales volume, gross profit, net profit, product mix, and selling price. Approves and establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
18 Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results from a strategic stand point.
19 Responsible for reporting Division progress to upper management.
20 Develops and manages annual expense budgets and monitors the commission plans that are approved by the sales director for sales-team members.

- Strong in Cost Analysis and Variance Analysis
- Past Operational Experience is desired.
- Lean Model Manufacturing Experience is desired not required
- Project Management and Planning Management Experience Desired.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & typeset.
- If you can take a concept, independently own & implement the ENTIRE process by using task management to see the concept into COMPLETE fruition.
