Job Summary:
This position is expected to be the resident expert with regards to the clinical needs of the target customer.
The Clinical Applications Specialist provides clinical support to Product Management and R&D in areas of
product definition, product assessment, and product introduction. The Clinical Applications Specialist is also
a resource for the Global Sales and Outbound Marketing Organizations. Given that the Clinical Applications
Specialist has global responsibilities, he/she must be able to transform clinical needs into clinical solutions
regardless of geography. The Clinical Applications Specialist is expected to be able to focus on many tasks
in parallel while working very closely with the Product Development Team.
Note: This position is open to candidates who currently reside in the Tampa/Orlando area as this would be a central location relative to the territory's business.
Essential Job Functions:
• Work closely with R&D to develop various products that meet the user needs and intended uses.
• Responsible for creating and/or having input to specific documentation, i.e.  Clinical Requirements Document (CRD), Product Requirements Definition (PRD).
• Responsible for suggesting, setting up, and following through with clinical partner sites testing our product concepts.
• Educate the organization on current clinical trends in the designated target markets.
• Provide Clinical / Technical / Educational support to internal / external customers as needed; provide clinical support in Live Scan 1-2 days per week.
• Support Outbound Marketing with product positioning issues on an as needed basis.
• Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company’s quality system
• Provide support to other areas of the company as needed
Knowledge and Experience:
• Must have at least (3) three years’ experience in diagnostic ultrasound (Abdominal / OBGyn / Vascular).
• Experience in working within a product development environment is a key requirement.

Experience in dealing with numerous requirements and performing detailed prioritization is required.
•
Ability to understand both the clinical and business needs of the customer and FUJIFILM SonoSite respectively.
•
Ability to translate customer needs into clear product requirements for R&D is a must.
•
Ability to think about the application of diagnostic ultrasound in non-traditional ways is also a must.
•
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•
Ability to communicate effectively both within other groups in Marketing and throughout the company.
