Summary:
The Senior Director of Infrastructure is responsible for operational and service management processes to ensure that quality, efficiency and agility goals are achieved. As a member of the IT senior leadership team, the role contributes to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy. They also ensure department alignment with the enterprise's business strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success.  This position will recommend and promote capital and operating expenditures within area of responsibility.   The Senior Director of IT Infrastructure will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.  This position will also define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
The Senior Director of Infrastructure will have solid technical infrastructure experience, strong project management acumen and excellent vendor management skills, in addition to a superior, service-oriented approach to infrastructure operations.
Responsibilities:
• Strategize and deliver all infrastructure (end user computing, hybrid/cloud compute services, network services, security infrastructure, service desk) engineering and operations for the company.
• Accountable for customer satisfaction and Service Level Agreement (SLA) for all infrastructure services for the company.
• Develop business and technical architectures for the infrastructure to be in alignment with the enterprise architecture principles & vision. Contribute to the development of broader enterprise architecture.
• Build and lead a high performing team to deliver best in class infrastructure services.
• Develop and be accountable for critical vendor partnerships needed for success.
• Ensure compliance to key regulatory, security and organizational policies and procedures.
• Collaborate and deliver to the business continuity and disaster recovery goals of the organization.
• Manage financials for achieving lowest TCO for the infrastructure.
• Engage, collaborate, and communicate effectively with variety of stakeholders to deliver the services.
• Define and establish right size processes to enable productive use of resources.
• Perform Infrastructure Engineering for Hybrid/Cloud compute, Network (WAN, LAN, Wi-fi etc), and end user computing areas.
• Responsible for all enterprise infrastructure including manufacturing sites, warehouse and distribution sites, retail sites, service facilities, and other locations as part of the company.
• Communicate and train others in operational routine procedures, methods and processes.  Monitor computer systems and communicate exceptions and variations as required to maintain a reliable and predictable operation.  Identify incorrect operations and system failures. Work with systems users and IT organization to correct the failures and restore the system to proper working order in an efficient and timely manner that minimizes adverse effects of failure as the business demands.
• Protect the Company’s IT resources through strict adherence to company security processes and policies; oversee the training and communication and enforce company security processes and policies; improve and develop company security processes and policies; lead company disaster recovery team.
• Responsible for IT business relationship management, IT investment portfolio (prioritization, project delivery, and third-party management processes).  The initiatives led by this person span a complex set of functions, technologies and geographies.
• Research and report on the practical application of new technologies appropriate to the area of responsibility. Evaluate vendor proposals and make recommendations for computer equipment and software. Coordinate the acquisition of hardware/software with the IT Executives and leadership as appropriate.
• Make employment decisions and/or recommendations on hiring, improvement plans, transfers, promotions, corrective actions, terminations, pay adjustments, etc.
• Coordinate and manage the work of employees by directing members of the team to meet the area’s goals.  Audit regularly to ensure standard operating procedures are being adhered to.
• Manage employee performance and assist employees in making improvements to their performance through coaching, mentoring and administering performance reviews.  Recommend, plan and/or implement employee training and skill development activities.
• Communicate company and departmental issues and goals and facilitate employee growth and development through weekly team meetings, regular individual employee meetings, coaching, training, and company-offered learning opportunities.
