Job Description:
Regional Command Center Systems Analyst is responsible for processing inbound service request calls, processing service requests with assigned third-party vendors, performing follow-up calls for due/overdue service requests, holding regular status meetings with internal and external partners, and providing professional written and verbal reports to senior management.
The Systems Analyst must possess outstanding communication skills, a positive disposition, and the ability to communicate articulately and precisely. From time-to-time the Systems Analyst may also assist with providing onsite and remote technical expertise for diagnosing client issues. This includes but is not limited to security software, CCTV hardware, and computer components and software. Some essential functions of this position include:
• Receive and process requests for services at client locations across North America
• Conduct regular service tracking meetings with internal partners and service vendor representatives
• Retrieve and disseminate systems and service related reports on a regular and ad-hoc basis
• Work with vendor technicians remotely and locally to diagnose system malfunctions
• Provide a focal point for IT related items on assigned projects
• Program, commission, and test security equipment and systems as per client’s specifications
• Read all systems documentation and ensure all IT systems are delivered as per customer expectations
• Provide end users training and manuals
• Provide Remote Desktop based support and training as needed
• Ensure all IT related items are installed per client’s best practices and standards
• Provide accurate and up to date documentation on all items installed and configured
• Maintain and configure CCTV Servers, workstations, networks, applications and databases
• Maintain documentation of systems and configurations
• Utilize SharePoint sites and Microsoft Office Suite programs to generate reports and access security related information in order to conduct analysis
• Make common sense decisions and exercise proper action during high tension and stressful situations
• Conduct training of newly-placed peers in all duties of the job, provide training updates to supervisory staff as needed
• Interact in a positive and professional manner with all employees, customers, consultants and vendors
Education, Experience and Certifications Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate of Science in Computer Science, or related areas, or equivalent education and/or experience
Preferred Certifications:
• SQL certifications, including MTA and MCSA
• Windows Server certifications
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:
• 2+ years of experience coordinating and tracking vendor services
Skills Required:
• Understanding of Microsoft Server software, hardware, and deployment environments
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to influence those outside of the scope of authority to reach client goals
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint, Lync, Communicator, and other Microsoft Suite Programs
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
• Ability to research, investigate, and compile information
• Planning and organizing skills
• Problem solving skills
• Skilled in synthesizing facts, concepts, and principles
• Ability to support multiple projects.
