Swedish Match North America LLC, a rapidly growing manufacturer and marketer of well-known tobacco products, non-tobacco ZYN pouch products, as well as complementary products, is currently seeking a Sanitation & QA Lead I (3rd shift) for the Owensboro, KY facility.
Major Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain Swedish Match master sanitation program.
• Coordinate and manager sanitation activities with contracted provider including scheduling, conducting pre-operational inspections, reporting deviations and driving SSOP continual improvement.
• Ensure compliance of contracted sanitation provider with established company rules, SOP's, and GMP's. Recommend and follow-up corrective action to ensure violations will bet be repeated.
• Maintain and continually improve SM sanitation program documentation.
• Conduct random internal facility inspections to mirror USDA inspections.
• Coordinate deep-cleaning or irregular cleaning schedules with Maintenance personnel.
• Develop and maintain sanitation KPIs.
• Remain current with FDA regulations.
• Investigate new sanitation technologies and provide recommendation regarding equipment and chemicals.
• Work with Engineering on projects through inspection and audits of activities, validation and verification of activities (IQ, OQ, & PQ), and release​ of equipment pending pre-operational inspections.
• Coordinate pest control program as needed.
• Conduct and support Quality Assurance functions such as product testing and submissions as needed.
Requirements
Education: High School diploma/GED required. Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience required. General knowledge of equipment operation within the food production industry.
Skill/Knowledge:
• Must be able to work independently.
• Ability to design and prepare concise and accurate reports.
• Must be self-motivated, organized and have excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• HACCP experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, FDA regulations and cGMP, preferably in food.
• Tobacco experience is a plus.
Other: Must be able to work 3rd shift (11:00pm - 7:30am, Sunday night - Thursday morning)
