The Role
We are transforming technology and creating a digital evolution that will empower Centene to better serve our members. The Project Lead System Engineer (End User Experience) is responsible for leading various sized technical projects focused on initiatives that are designed to enhance the IT experience of our internal employees Windows Endpoint, IT Support Platforms, and Productivity Software solutions.
As a Project Lead System Engineer (End User Experience) you will:
• Responsible for leading various sized technical projects focused on initiatives that are designed to enhance the IT experience of our internal employees Windows Endpoint, IT Support Platforms, and Productivity Software solutions.
• Partner with End User Experience IT Program Manager Team to provide technical oversight, guidance, and support to various projects focused on improving the user experience across the organization.
• Act as primary engineer supporting the implementation and management of our Digital Employee Experience Management tool that includes infrastructure, platform, and PowerShell scripting responsibilities.
• Partner and support with IT Change and Release management across the End User Technology organization.
• Actively identify and solution for proactive opportunities that could improve and enhance the end user IT experience.
• Lead cross functional teams through system processes.
• Provide technical and strategic support for the server systems and applications residing on these servers.
• Support end users and monitor system usage/performance.
• Responsible for backup and recovery of the operating system and third-party applications, file-system management, patching, process automation writing programs, server installation/configuration and ignite configuration.
• Perform duties for third-party application design, integration, support, installations, and configurations.
• Interface with business users and stakeholders to determine needs.
• Act as a resource for resolving complex problems.
• Act as the go-to person to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
• Responsible for evaluation, design, and integration of all enhancements or new releases of the system.
• Identify and implement process/procedural improvements.
Additionally you will bring:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of related experience. Experience with disaster recovery planning/testing.
• Detailed understanding of Windows OS and endpoint platforms (Physical & Virtual).
• Experience and knowledge of Windows PowerShell commands.
• Advanced knowledge of core IT infrastructure systems and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Enterprise IT Change and Release process experience.
• General knowledge of common end user productivity software (MS Office, Skype, Zoom, etc.).
• Enterprise IT solution design and implementation process experience (Service Design, Security Review, Vendor Management, etc.)
• Organizational Change Management experience (POC, Pilot, & Release).
• Advanced proactive problem solving mindset.
• Proven ability with implementing new technology solutions and leading team projects.
• Strong people, communication, and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to all levels of management.
• Process oriented and results driven.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment that embraces change.
• Ability to build strong partnerships with cross-functional IT teams throughout the organization.
• Customer Centric understanding and approach to developing IT solutions.
• Act as a technical mentor to the team to help expand and improve the knowledge needed to continuously improve the user experience.
Preferred Qualifications/Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Digital Employee Experience Management Software (Nexthink or similar solution).
• Advanced Windows PowerShell scripting language experience.
• Understanding and experience with Agile Development Methodology.
• Experience Management Survey Software knowledge (Qualtrics or similar solution).
• ITIL 3/4 or equivalent certification(s).
• PMP or equivalent certification(s).
