Full Job Description Position: Dock Man
Location: Owensboro, KY
Summary:
The dock man is responsible for assisting crane/material handler operators in the unloading process of aggregate from deck/hopper barges. Equipment operation is including but not limited to front end loader, winches, and water pumps. Dock man are expected to perform general maintenance around the dock system and its equipment when downtime exist and during scheduled maintenance intervals.
Requirements:
• Ability to work around water
• Working knowledge of the river and barges is preferred but not required
• Ability to operate heavy equipment (Front end loader preferred)
• Ability to climb ladder ranging from 10’-15’ in height
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to shovel, sweep, wash barge decks
