This opportunity may be considered for a remote work option for highly qualified non-local/out of state candidates. (Periodic travel to Tampa, FL required based on business needs.)
What you will be doing if you are offered this position & accept:
Our Cloud Network Security Architect defines the architecture and technical vision of cloud network and security controls across the organization. This candidate will be responsible for articulating and translating the overall technical strategy and tactics for cloud network and security to the various technical and business stakeholders in the organization.
This position may be considered for a remote work arrangement with periodic travel to Tampa, FL as well as on an as needed basis.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
• Collaborates with enterprise – network, security, cloud solution architects, domain solutions architects etc. to develop cloud solutions and an Enterprise Cloud Strategy.
• Understands Enterprise customers networking use cases, propose efficient and feasible engineering solutions, lead, and drive implementation of the features in a timely manner.
• Builds sophisticated and highly automated infrastructure.
• Collaborates to establish multi-cloud network and cybersecurity architecture with a focus on proactive threat detection, security control enforcement and incident response.
• Develops and participate in a cloud center of excellence, including security, infrastructure, and domain architects.
• Partners with Enterprise Security Governance to assess and reduce cloud security risks.
• Provides clear written and verbal consulting to projects about cloud network and security architecture and cloud risk management.
• Champions the implementation of industry leading cloud network and security standards and best practices across the enterprise.
• Provides advice, analysis, and recommendation on the security products in the cloud security space.
• Provides technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members regarding technical skills and competencies in the cloud network and security domains.
• Participates in demand management with the business and technology stakeholders by providing technical expertise to estimate levels of effort, developing work breakdown structures and technical resource planning for proposed projects.
Education & Experience Requirements:
• 5+ years of direct work experience performing the Duties & Responsibilities of this position or performing duties closely related to the Duties & Responsibilities of this position. Experience to include:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the networking and security aspects relating to multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience designing, architecting, and networking and securing IaaS, Pass, and SaaS cloud deployments.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with cloud like technologies and platforms such as SAP, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or equivalent discipline from a regionally accredited college/university.
In addition, the following it will help you stand out even more:
• One, or more, current professional certifications in specific job-related disciplines such as CISA, CCSP, CISSP etc. preferred in addition to the requirements above.
• Advanced degree(s) in business administration, computer science, information systems, or related information technology field.
• Gas or Electric utility experience
• Experience working in large public or private-sector organizations.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities (KSA):
Required:
• Deep understanding of cloud networking and cybersecurity standards, frameworks and best practices, business drivers and emerging computing trends
• Deep knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies and ability to apply trends to architectural needs.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise platforms and operating systems as well as knowledge of key business applications, functions, and processes
• Willingness to instruct and coach in a cloud training program as needed.
• Experience in creating a cloud strategy and coordinate adoption and implementation.
• Ability to interact with and provide architectural design guidance to project teams made up of employee and/or supplier resources.
• Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments
• Knowledge of all components of a technical architecture and application development methodologies
• Knowledge and Understanding of Cloud Native Development
• Knowledge of Automation Framework and Tools
• Knowledge of web services, API, REST and RPC.
• Knowledge of SOA Applications and cloud-based services
• Hands-on Experience with Azure, SAP Cloud platform implementation:
• IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing & firewalls, including strong working knowledge of cloud pattern best practices.
• Cloud Security experience in the areas of Identity and Access Management, Infrastructure Security, Data Security and Application Security e.g., Security Groups, IAM policies, NACLs etc.
• Establishing and managing file and object storage (SAN, NAS etc.)
• Data archiving, backup, and disaster recovery to the cloud.
• Building, changing, and managing cloud environments via Infrastructure as Code development.
• Store and control application access to tokens, passwords, certificates, encryptions keys for on premise and cloud workloads
• Knowledge and experience with requirements gathering techniques etc.
• Workshop facilitation techniques (e.g., requirements, design)
• Project management and governance techniques including Agile development methodologies (Kanban, Scrum etc.).
• Data-driven decision-making approaches
• Includes both excellent listening skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with a wide variety of audiences.
• The ability to conduct effective presentations and to calibrate presentations to different audiences.
• The ability to work effectively with senior management and other stakeholders.  It includes the ability to conduct workshops, interviews, and meetings and to set and manage expectations.
• Ability to manage in a complex environment characterized by multiple, competing/shifting priorities.
• Resource management – the capability to effectively manage and motivate team members.
• Leadership abilities including conflict management, negotiation, and consensus building skills as well as mentoring team members on matters related to the cloud.
• Demonstrated ability to champion a clear vision for systems to be implemented and the manner for which they will support business unit processes.
• Demonstrated ability leading teams in support of business process analysis efforts and educating others in the proper application of tools and techniques.
• Understanding of project plans and ability to clearly articulate roles, project goals, and timelines.  Understanding of the components of running a fiscally successful project.  Demonstrated proficiency at assessing the proposed project plans to ensure all needs are met.
• Drives continuous process improvement for SDLC, maintenance, application support, and Information Technology architecture.
Preferred:
• Demonstrated knowledge of purpose of Back Office Business applications such as SAP Utilities Solutions (ERP, CRM, EAM/WAM et al).
• Demonstrated knowledge of Electric Grid Solutions such as ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System), EMS (Energy Management System), AMI/MDM (Advanced Metering Infrastructure/Meter Data Management), Intergraph GIS (Geographical Information System)
• Demonstrated knowledge of Gas Utility Operations solutions such as ESRI GIS, Gas SCADA, Gas Management System, Meter Reading Systems etc.
• Ability to assess emerging business & regulatory changes and articulate how these can positively impact the Company.
