SUPERINTENDENT POSITION –
General contractor, based in Vancouver, WA is seeking highly motivated Field Superintendents to work in Oregon, Washington and other markets, primarily in quick service and casual dining restaurant construction and remodeling. Position will focus on daily scheduling of subcontractors, quality control and requires the ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications. Overnight travel is required. Key Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Monitoring construction schedules and assisting with questions from vendors, suppliers & manufacturers for a wide variety of construction projects
• Reviewing plans/specifications and other contract documents to identify, communicate and resolve errors, omissions, code violations and design inadequacies
• Conducting new unit punch lists
• Investigating documentation for change orders and recommending action
• Conducting preconstruction meetings with architect and others
• Communicating with internal and external leaders
• Coordinating all onsite scheduling of all subcontractors
• Coordinating all required inspections and required tests of AHJ
• Conducting effective weekly safety meetings
• Coordinating and receiving all site delivers and staging of materials
• Familiarity with Smartphone operation (I-phone)
Must possess the following qualities:
• Minimum of 5 years of construction experience, preferably in the restaurant/food service industry
• Solid basic computer skills including MS Excel and Word
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to coordinate very fast paced construction schedules
• 10-hour OSHA certification required, 30-hour certificate preferred
• Strong decision making and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to deal effectively with owners, trade contractors, vendors, architects, engineers & city officials
• Complete all required daily field reports and weekly schedule update reports for the project manager and subcontractors
• Experience working in a franchised restaurant system is preferred
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends if circumstances require
Physical Requirements:
• Must be capable of walking 10,000 steps per day
• Must be able to lift / carry 50 lbs.
• Must be able to climb ladder to 20’ height

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
