Full Job Description At HSI we’re changing safety, compliance, and workforce development. As a Junior Ruby Application Developer , you’ll be working with our small development team to build and maintain our software platform, as well as a number of related applications and projects. This is an entry level position, and we are looking for someone with some knowledge of R uby on Rails programming-whether that’s from school, an internship, a coding bootcamp, a program like LaunchCode, or maybe you’ve been learning on your own. What we expect from you is an eagerness to learn, and a willingness to work hard through the challenges of web development. We want to invest in your future by bringing you onto the team. The rest of the development team is here to support you as you work with us.
Day to day, you’ll work closely with the development team. In the beginning of your time at HSI, you will probably focus on smaller tasks, and work closely with other members of the team. Depending on your experience level, you might be working with Technical Support to assist customers with small errors, or helping other developers fix visual glitches or write tests. As you grow in experience, you will work more independently and will have opportunities to learn more about development as you become familiar with our applications. There are plenty of development techniques and technology to learn, so you will always have something new you can work on.
