Research Associate II # Drug discovery in colorectal cancer Dr. Hao Xie is a physician scientist establishing his laboratory at Moffitt Cancer Center. His research interest includes drug discovery and development in colorectal cancer. He aims to develop small molecules for targeted protein degradation and pursue preclinical studies in ex vivo and in vivo models of colorectal cancer. Position Highlights: A Research Associate II position for a highly motivated, organized, and team-oriented individual Opportunities for working in chemical biology and cancer biology The Ideal Candidate: Candidate with 1-2 years of recent biology laboratory research experience required. Demonstrate basic knowledge and proficiency of experimental techniques in cell biology. Experience in basic mammalian cell culture, cell viability assays, and immunoblot etc. Responsibilities: The employee will assist PI and collaborate with other lab members by performing research and experiments following protocols. The employee will maintain detailed records, establish procedures, and analyze data following institutional safety and security regulations. Recorder stock laboratory supplies when depleted under proper supervision. Credentials and Qualifications: Bachelor#s Degree in related field is required. Master#s Degree in related field is preferred. Hands-on research experience is required Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to establish effective working relationships and coordinate experiments with other members of the team. Ability to organize and present data clearly and concisely.
