Full Job Description Part-time Caregiver
Our adult foster home is in search of a experienced and compassionate In-home Caregiver who understands the importance of meeting the needs of our resident's (adults with special needs and/or disabilities) while helping them maintain a high quality of life. We are looking for a committed individual who has impeccable communication skills and are able to problem solve on the spot. Our Caregivers have a reputation for being cheerful and receptive as they administer care to our resident's, and we are seeking an individual who would be a great fit with our team.

Responsibilities & Duties
• Ensure all 3 live-in residents personal care is monitored, cleanliness of bedrooms, lavatory, mobility, administering medication, personal hygiene, meals, transporting to doctor’s appointments and activity outings if needed
• Monitor daily resident medications and update health charts, including meal charts
• Maintain open communication between providers, families and health care professionals regarding client’s medical and emotional condition
• Document and report any changes in resident's health or behavioral status
• Ensure highest resident safety and well-being
• Keeping the home sanitized, clean and organized at all times according to state guidelines.
• Light cooking of meals, cleaning, shopping, paperwork on each resident daily, assist with laundry if needed.
Caregiver qualifications and skills
• High school diploma required (college degree preferred)
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle for transport and insurance required
• Level 2 background check with fingerprinting
• Current and valid first aid and CPR certification
• Experience working with mentally disabled and special needs adults
• Impeccable written and oral communication skills
• Experience and knowledge working with adults who have chronic and acute conditions, including behaviors.
• Ability to problem solve quickly
• Medical background an asset
• If hired required to take a 6hr medication course, HIPPA online course and Food/Sanitation online course
