Melba Lee Inc. (Group Home) is looking for Direct care staff that is willing to work full time with open flexible schedules and willing to cover other shift for extra hours if needed. This open position is to take care of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I need a staff that is responsible with following the weekly schedule and getting to work on time. On this field the individuals with disability depend and relay on responsible staff.
The position includes:
Staff Responsibilities:
Maintaining a safety environment for the individuals
Ensuring that the services provided are in compliance with the individuals services plan, other information pertinent to the individuals. Provide support and direct care. Administer medication as writing on resident’s prescription order by the doctor.
Light housekeeping work, Bathing, meal preparation, grooming, data collection, dust and clean windows and ceiling fan etc.
Requirements: Education, Credentials, Experience, Certification and Special Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED is required
• 1 year of work experience working as a direct care provider with developmental disabilities individuals.
• Must be 25 years old
• Able to pass the Level I, II background screening, and Local Law check
Required Certifications:
CPR/first Aid, HIV/Aids, HIPPA, Direct Core Competencies, Zero Tolerance, Medication Administration and Validation Administration, Bloodborne Pathogen training and any other in-services certification related with this field.
Must be able to work on a flexible hour shift as needed to meet the needs of the mentally challenge individuals we serve.
Salary: Starting $10.00 per hour
