Job Description
The Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center at St. Jude is one the largest sickle cell
disease programs in the country. This program treats approximately 900 children with
sickle cell disease each year.
The St. Jude- Methodist Sickle Cell Disease Transition clinic , an integral part ofthe Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center, ensures the appropriate transition ofadolescents to adult health care for ongoing management of this complex chronicdisease. Our partnerships with Methodist University Hospital and the University ofTennessee also connects our faculty and fellows to an adult sickle cell population ofapproximately 400 adults. The clinic serves as a national model for other programsaiming to improve outcomes of this disease.
Eligible applicants will have completed training in pediatric hematology/oncology,adult hematology/oncology, adult hematology, internal medicine, family medicine ormedicine/pediatrics.
