Full Job Description Experienced Direct Care staff needed to work 2-7 days/week (15 paid hours /day).
Physically capable individuals needed to provide in-home support for mentally challenged young adult. Behaviorally trained help preferred but will consider on the job training for exceptional applicants.
Work is behavior focused and includes assisting a client with eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and other self-care activities of daily living including ongoing casual interaction with the client. In addition, caregiver is responsible for cleaning, laundry, bed making, housekeeping, and meal preparation.
Competent applicant should be able to handle occasional intense aggression and work with behavioral support personnel to manage problem behaviors, keep ongoing records of clients activities. Client is not large but is particularly difficult to handle when behavioral crisis occurs.
Required Qualifications:
- Must pass Level 2 background screening.
- High School diploma or GED,
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Participate in ongoing training (PCM, HIPAA, Core Competency, Zero Tolerance, CPR/First Aid, etc.)
- Work consecutive days as a Live-In on contract and sleep on premises each work day.
MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 80lbs
