SOF AT&L - Foreign Assistance Specialist - Journeyman (AO 12XX) Apogee Engineering | Tampa, Florida 33601 Unspecified DoE Q or L Unspecified Apogee is seeking a Foreign Assistance Specialist - Journeyman located at MacDill Air Force Base (AFB), FL in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF) Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L).

What you will be doing:
• Act as an acquisition specialist for weapons programs in support of partner nation forces
• Collect and analyze metrics and requirements
• Develop elements of program acquisition strategies
• Support/conduct market research
• Keep program information current and organize data for decision making
• Prepare reports and briefings on program status, policies and procedures, in support of acquisition program milestones
• Support cost/benefit analysis
• Analyze effectiveness and efficiency of programs; develop recommendations to improve program operations.
• Answer data calls and inquiries on program policies and procedures
• Participate in requirements development process in support of Senior Managers and Government counterparts
• Monitor programs to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Help manage program cost, schedule, performance, and risks in accordance to policies and procedures; formulate proposed mitigations as necessary
• Coordinate program information with personnel
• Interpret regulations and directives to determine impact on programs
What you will need to have:
• Bachelors degree
• 3-10 years of experience in DoD acquisition roles
• 2 years of security cooperation experience
• Practical expertise in Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Partner Nation Assistance, or Security Cooperation
• Working knowledge of FMS acquisition activities and procedures
• Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level II Equivalency in the Program Management field - DAWIA Level II non-resident course prerequisites in Program Management must be complete
• Working knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System as directed by DoD Instruction 5000.02, “Operation of the Defense Acquisition System”
• Experience with DoD/government contract rules and procedures
• Desired International Certifications: Security Cooperation certification in Security Management
• Intermediate level expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
