Position Title: Operations Systems Specialist
Supervision Received: Position reports to the Operations Systems Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Job Summary : Operations Systems Specialist will be responsible for creating reports, understanding systems, policies and procedures, bank operations, locations, departments, and business objectives, goals, and programs within the bank.
Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Provide ad hoc reports to various departments within the bank
• Extraction and manipulation of data from multiple systems to develop routine, or ad hoc, reporting for various departments within the bank
• Generate and provide routine reports on a weekly/monthly/annual basis
• System interaction including understanding upgrades and enhancements
• Understanding system functionality in relation to bank procedures
• Maintain a working knowledge of operational functions within the bank
• Communicate with vendors to track system status and resolutions
• User setup, access, and maintenance for multiple systems within the bank

Knowledge Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:
• Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
• Economics and Accounting — Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data
• English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
• Mathematics — Knowledge of arithmetic and algebra and their applications
• Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming
• Public Safety and Security — Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions
• Clerical — Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
Skills and Abilities Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (i.e. macros, v-lookups, pivot tables, and other advanced formulas)
• Knowledge of VBA for Microsoft Excel or other applications
• Experience with creating custom reports
• Proficient computer skills
• Must have strong mathematical abilities
• Time management skills
• Good listening and communication (speaking and writing) skills
• Reading comprehension
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Complex Problem solving & judgment skills
• Must work well with others
• Honesty and Integrity is highly important
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Must be able to speak, read, and understand English
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as accomplish work assignments under minimal supervision and under some tight deadlines

Education, Experience and Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Banking experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Requires sitting for long periods of time; Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls; Requires repetitive movement; Requires face-to-face discussions with individuals or teams; Requires writing letters and memos; Requires use of electronic mail; Requires telephone conversations; Requires contact with others (face-to-face, by telephone, or otherwise), Includes conflict situations; Requires use of multiple software systems; Requires lifting up to 20 lbs.; Requires repeating the same physical activities or mental activities over and over; Requires being exact or highly accurate; Requires meeting strict deadlines; Requires work with others in a group or team; Includes responsibility for work outcomes and results, Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people; Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 75% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, 10-key calculator, phone, and similar machines.
Working Conditions:
Indoor, environmentally controlled. Usual office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
