We are looking for an exceptional Director of Strategic Plan Implementation to lead our geographic expansion and growing Water and Wastewater team.
What you’ll be doing:
You are a leader that builds, engages and motivates teams to provide unsurpassed client service. You will be responsible for developing and then implementing a strategic plan initiative to provide water/wastewater engineering services on regional projects and identifying and developing new water/wastewater pursuits. This will require identification and selection of potential clients, project pursuit strategy development, managing proposal efforts, contract negotiations, and oversight of project managers and technical work. Building staff resources within the region to serve clients will also be a primary responsibility. In addition, strategic relationships for teaming partners and subconsultants will be necessary for pursuit of traditional as well as alternative project delivery assignments. Understanding and leveraging core services (planning, design and construction management) and new services (asset management, condition assessment, utility management), and working internally with company experts will be required. Strong writing and communication skills will enable your team to deliver exceptional work products. Travel to client and project sites, for client visits/meetings and to other Kennedy Jenks offices will be necessary.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Strategy formulation, development, and implementation
• Marketing and sales leadership, client and pursuit identification and selection
• Recruitment of key personnel, organizing and building technical, project management and client service teams
• Leading positioning efforts for new and existing clients
• Preparing proposals for new project opportunities
• Coordinating with company technical experts and internal business support services
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Twenty years of progressive experience in management of consulting engineering services to public and private clients
• BS or MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or similar engineering field
• PE license
• Strong technical knowledge of the water/wastewater industry
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service and interact positively with clients
• Experience with business development and sales
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Design-Build experience
