Human Services Program Analyst
This administrative position is a member of the Quality Assurance and Training Team for the Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infant and Children (WIC) Program . Primary responsibilities include performing the Local Agency Program Reviews (LAPR), generating administrative reports, providing training and technical support to the staff. Works as a team member to meet and exceed established guidelines for the program. Applicant must be detailed-oriented, have the ability to work independently, exhibit effective training and strong communication skills and ensure adherence to the established WIC program guidelines.
Training Certification is required for this position and must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
All trainings required by the Florida Department of Health and/or WIC must be completed within the established timeframe.
Responsibilities include:
Plans and schedules local agency program reviews for at each WIC site. Prepares, maintains and submits program review reports and documents the findings. Based on findings, the incumbent develops and provides training/guidance to nutrition staff. Presents report of the Local Agency Program Review ( LAPR) to nutrition management.
Assists in the development and/or completion of the Nutrition Program Plan and the Corrective Action Plan following Central Office Monitoring visits.
Is the FL-WiSE subject matter expert and provides training and evaluation of the FL-WiSE for the Nutrition/WIC staff. The incumbent is the local contact for staff regarding the FL-WiSE system.
With the Senior Public Health Nutritionist, coordinates mandatory training for new clinic staff. Monitors and maintains the required proof of trainings, certifications, program requirements and competencies for all Nutrition / WIC staff.  Develops presentations, training material, work samples and training exercises.
Leads the annual Quality Improvement (QI) project for the Nutrition/WIC Division and is the Division’s Quality Council representative. Identifies the problem, the improvements; develops the action plan and communicates observations on the QI project. Responsible for generating Administrative Reports. Monitors the Administrative Reports for the division.
Direct client services to include but not limited to: Interviewing and screening participants for WIC eligibility; issuance of benefits and required documents. Takes the lead in coordinating all Voter Registration activities.
If fluent in another language, you may be required to assist with translating to ensure quality client services.
Submits reports such as travel, HMS, People First  within the timeframe assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Effective verbal and written communications skills. Ability to train staff individually and in a group setting. Ability to read, interpret and train on local policies and procedures. Ability to use computer, fax machine, copier, telephone. Computer skills with a thorough knowledge, skills and ability in Excel, Word, Outlook and Data System.
Minimum Qualifications:
• One year of experience performing quality assurance review.
• One year of experience training staff on policies and procedures.
• One year of experience utilizing data systems to generate reports and create graphs to summarize data.
Preferred Qualifications:
• One year of FL-WiSE data system experience.
• One year of work experience with the Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC).
